This snail’s so cute! Take a look at the mossy shell and notice how using two shades of green pops its shape out of the page.

See how the fire burns with a hot white flame? This is acrylic marker, we can use acrylics to adjust the coloring boundaries to our wildest dreams!

STEP 1. Start with lightest color, adding dark features after

Ever noticed how some coloring pages look flat but seem to pop out of the page?

Its always a good idea to use multiple shades if you feel comfortable to! Using multiple shades will elevate your art by enhancing the natural shape of the objects in the scene.

When using multiple pens its always easiest to start with the color you'll use most of. In this case that's light stone first, then dark features after.

Make sure to leave spaces between the stones for the moss in STEP 2.

STEP 2. Light green first, add darker details last.

Fill the spaces you left for moss with a light green, then darken with a darker shade where the moss is thickest.

Repeat for all the stones in your wall and if you don't have an acrylic marker you'll be finished here!

This is a great technique for beginners to experts, adding ancient details to your stone will bring your wall to life!

step 3. Acrylic moss

To add acrylic moss to your art, gently tap your pens tip to fill in the spaces between the rocks. Where the moss grows thickest in your piece, you can overlay the coloring borders as if the moss is growing off the page and creative something really impressive!
